Third day action of the Ethiopian premier league saw the highly anticipated Fixture between Kidus Giorgis and Mechal ending in a draw favouring Ethiopia Nigd Bank while Bahir Dar Ketema edge Shashemene Ketema.
The eagerly anticipated match at the top end of the log saw Kidus Giorgis and Mechal playing out to a goalless draw.
The match was played in a very windy and also rainy environment hindering both sides from putting on their best display as they were far from their usual best meaning the match had chances far and few.

Bahir Dar Ketema who were back in action after their game week 19 fixture against Wolkite Ketema was postponed following the tragic loss of their midfielder Alelign Azene.
Prior to kickoff Bahir Dar Ketema were a black t-shirt and Alelign’s shirt in remembrance of him, in the 39th minute Cherenet Gugsa scored the all important goal to lead his side into 5th place with 32 points.
